Although well-balanced; Lukullus cold pressed from Germany is not one of the brands that we recommend you buy to feed your plant-based dog, but we are very pleased to have a vegan cold pressed food available! It is full of the superfoods and organic vegetables that we highly recommend, but sadly, like Yarrah, this is a company that makes mainly meat-based food and they have developed this range to keep up with the competition.

Like the other meat-based companies that produce a vegan food (like Lily’s Kitchen and Barking Heads), they are unaware of the important addition of Taurine that is needed and we do not see Taurine mentioned in the ingredients to support heart health.

We would much rather support the smaller thriving companies who make only vegan dog food and we then know that the food is produced in a facility with no meat or fish and the company has our ethos of kindness towards our environment.
