We dream the same dream, we want the same things

I imagined being talked down by ardent raw-feeding vets, or company directors not wanting to stop the profits from their meat-based pet food sales….but I faced no criticism or controversy…in fact the complete opposite!

The vets and vet nurses that attended my talk or visited my stand were fascinated by what I had to say, as we do all dream the same dream of wanting healthier kind alternatives for our pets that offer us hope for our future. BUT the biggest stumbling block that I came across was a complete lack of knowledge. Vets know nothing about plant-based feeding of dogs. I cannot blame them. I knew absolutely nothing about plant-based feeding of dogs 6 years ago…even 5 years ago!

So I have a new vision and a much wider goal and I may need your help with this one:)

With all your wonderful help of buying food from Just be Kind or Supplement, or our online Course, you have allowed me to achieve a dream I never thought possible….I have the most exciting new products launching in 2023 – how exciting is that?! You all believed in me, and thinking about your dogs is what kept me awake in the early hours of the morning, and it is happening…through all your support, Just be Kind can grow and expand, and your dogs will benefit!

Since the London Vet Show, I have been asked to start talking to vet students – I will start with Nottingham Vet School in January and Glasgow Vet school in March – yippeee – now that’s my dream come true – to speak to our future vets (all these wonderful young minds of our future) and educate them about sustainable, kind feeding of our dogs!

But I cannot do all of this on my own anymore……I need to accept that I need help!

I am in need of help as I need to expand my team to be able to achieve these new goals of educating as many vets and vet nurses as I can, while working on running Just be Kind as it grows with new and exciting products launching under the Just Be Kind name in 2023!! I have funded everything that I do with all my own money…even to the point of investing all my own pension in your dogs, but I now know that it is time for me to have proper investors and business advice from someone who shares my vision.

Wish me all the luck in the world as I step out of my comfort zone completely on Thursday to attend a plant-based expo in London where I hope to meet investors and start the job I have always dreaded – selling myself and my dreams. So easy to have them, but so hard to make others believe in them and want to share in them!! It feels a little like going back onto the dating scene (something I have not done since the 80’s!), where you make yourself vulnerable and hope to find that perfect partner out there who shares in your dreams and loves what you do and wants to be a part of it…how frightening but equally how exciting that if I find them, I can achieve these dreams!!

More exciting news for our future!

Small miracles happen everyday! Who would have guessed that this was possible  – Rishi Sunak hiring vegan Meera Vadher as head of green policy in 2023!

She would be an ideal candidate and the very first time that a vegan would be entering politics and being a key decision-maker – finally!!! This gives us all such enormous hope for our future and we SO hope that she signs up to this position (and that she has a dog:) !
