“Just over a week ago I began giving Inca the GOLD DUST Power Duo. By day 3 she seemed to move a little more easily and jumped around in the park a lot more.
By day five, she was bounding up the stairs, seems calmer and her ear inflammation seems to be reducing.
Currently, she seems to have more energy, there is a lot less stiffness in her hips (the main issue for her joints) and able to move more freely. I simply cannot believe this!
I have now begun to give this to Digger and also seeing some positives, but he’s only had this for three days!”

To make this Joint Supplement POWER DUO for your dog, simply mix the amounts shown below. GOLD DUST and Algae Oil can be mixed together in a cup for a week’s supply to make a very tasty paste. Keep covered and away from direct light at room temperature and give it daily to your dog over the week as a tasty topper or straight off a spoon! This is for the first month. After a month, you can give this amount over 2 weeks.
Will my dog like the taste?
We have been so surprised with how much our own dog Ruff loves the flavour. We have chosen to add aniseed which provides a sweet, aromatic scent, as well as black pepper to enhance the absorption of the nutrients. Interestingly, dogs do LOVE the taste of black pepper!
When GOLD DUST is mixed with Omega 3 Algae oil to offer a powerful duo of nutrients; the result is a HIGHLY PALATABLE PASTE that can be used on licky mats or just added directly as a topper to your dog’s food. (Ruff licks it straight off the spoon – watch the video here!)
My dog is allergic to fish and chicken, is this product suitable?
Why should all joint supplements exclude the addition of fish products?
The use of filter feeders such as mussels also results in possible contamination of products with these toxins from these harvested sea animals.
The use of krill in pet joint supplements is possibly the least sustainable of all additions as krill are the tiny plankton crustaceans that are vital to ensuring a healthy food chain in our already vulnerable oceans. To cut out the use of fish, and instead use pure Omega 3 Algae oil made from Microalgae where fish get their Omega 3 fatty acids from, is far more sustainable and results in no bio accumulation of any heavy metals.
NO FISHY BREATH EITHER in your dog!
Why is phytodroitin not added to GOLD DUST?
Why has psyllium husk been added to the supplement?
Does Boswellia have any other effects other than being anti-inflammatory?
How soon should I notice an effect in my dog?
Due to the very high levels of effective ingredients (see below for the amounts your dog will get of each nutrient), you should notice an improvement in your dog’s pain in just under a week! Their energy levels should improve with the high level of anti-oxidants, which means that they can go for walks and get their joints stretching and moving.
The initial dose mentioned on the packaging is only for the first month and this can be halved after a month.
How beneficial is the added Omega 3 Algae oil?
Vegetology Algae oil contains Omega in their purest form as microalgae where fish get their Omega from. We prefer to cut out the fish and obtain these Omega 3’s directly from their natural source – all farmed sustainably in large bioreactors in Holland.
Vegetology Opti3 flavourless oil provides not only a pure source of Omega 3 with no heavy metal toxins, but also exceptionally high levels of DHA (1000mg per tsp), EPA (600mg per tsp), total Omega 3 (1670mg per tsp) and pure Vit D3 (5μg per tsp)…. and dogs love its mild umami flavour!
Glucosamine gives cartilage its structure and shock absorbing qualities. It is involved in the formation of cartilage, tendons, skin, bone and ligaments. Your dog will naturally produce glucosamine, but as they age, their body produces less and less which leads to joint pain as their protective joint cartilage cushioning becomes thinner. Our plant-based source is from Glucosamine HCl for superior absorption and effectivity compared to using crushed shellfish.
A 25kg dog would obtain an initial daily loading dose for the first month of 1456mg pure Glucosamine HCl using Gold Dust Joint Supplement

Hyaluronic Acid is involved in the structural formation of cartilage and helps to cushion and lubricate the joints. It has a remarkable ability to absorb liquid and plump the joint providing cushioning and subsequent pain relief to arthritic joints. A new study below found that administering hyaluronic acid (HA) improved biomarkers for OA in dogs following cranial cruciate ligament rupture surgery. This had not been shown before with any other joint supplement.

Psyllium husks have natural prebiotic properties that support beneficial bacteria in the gut to promote healthy absorption. This supports the functioning of the ‘good gut bacteria’ that then produce the short chain fatty acids in your dog’s intestine that allows this superior absorption of all the nutrients into the blood.

The article below shows how MSM can have remarkable effects of reducing pain in affected joints. It has also been shown to provide improvements to allergies and skin sensitivities which leads to overall wellness in your pet. It also enhances the effectivity of other supplements and it naturally neutralises free radicals.

THE UNSUNG HERO FOR YOUR DOG’S JOINTS
Omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid), are known for their anti-inflammatory properties.
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury or disease, but it can lead to joint pain and stiffness when it becomes chronic.
By reducing inflammation, Omega-3 can help alleviate these symptoms, making it a crucial nutrient for maintaining joint health.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!
Omega 3 also plays a significant role in collagen production.
Collagen is a protein building block for most tissues, including your dog’s joints. It provides structure and strength to their joints, helping them to function smoothly.
By promoting collagen production, Omega-3 helps maintain the integrity of their joints and reduces the risk of wear and tear.
Moreover, Omega 3 enhances calcium absorption in their body.
Calcium is a crucial nutrient for bone health in dogs. It helps build strong bones and maintain bone density.
By enhancing calcium absorption, Omega 3 contributes to bone health, providing additional support to your dog’s joints.
After all, healthy bones are essential for healthy joints!
ALGAE OIL IS A PLANT-SOURCED POWERHOUSE
Now, how do you incorporate Omega-3 into your plant-based dog’s diet?
That’s where Vegetology’s Omega 3 EPA & DHA supplement comes in. Made from microalgae, it provides a high dose of EPA and DHA in a form that your dog’s body can easily absorb.
Plus, it’s heavy metal and pollutant-free, and suitable for all ages from puppies to elderly dogs, making it a safe and sustainable choice for all dogs.
