As we end another year and all reflect on what has been in the last 12 months, I can only stay so enormously positive for what lies ahead with us and feeding our dogs plant-based! So much has happened this year, and here are little snippets that I want to share with you that are my memories of immense success for our future as I see the feeding of both us and our dogs as a glimmer of hope for our dog’s health as well as for our fragile planet’s health – just a huge thank you for all your support this year and I know that next year will exceed all our expectations:)
The year started on a high as our wonderful Prof Andrew Knight published his extensive research into the many benefits of feeding our dogs a nutritionally complete vegan diet!
A Channel 5 film crew visited us for the day and Ruff and I ended up on TV telling the nation that vegan dog poo has no smell:)
Read about Chris Packham’s amazing impact in April when he posted about his own very picky poodles Nancy and Sid really liking the vegan food that we sent to him!
On the day of Prof Knight’s published research that went viral with almost every newspaper and radio station broadcasting the news, I had a surprise visit from one of my personal heroes – James Wilks from Gamechangers!
How very exciting to have a photographer visit and also be interviewed by The Guardian newspaper giving a gentle and positive light to vegan dog food!
The research papers have continued with small animal nutrition vet specialist Dr Mike Davies publishing yet more convincing studies!
Omni also received this mention on BBC news in December 2022 to end the year positively for vegan dog food:)
Dr Lucy McKinna is an amazing vegan vet who brought us the Noochy Poochy brand that is extremely popular and is made up of organic ingredients. In 2022, they launched a puppy food which we are so thrilled with and highly recommend in our Puppy Package.
What a very positive article to end 2022! It mentions the success of The Pack, Noochy Poochy and also how VegDog in Germany has received substantial investment and is now on the shelves in German supermarkets – hoorah – we couldn’t be more delighted!!!
I feel as though my year ended on a complete high as together with Prof Andrew Knight, we spoke at the London Vet Show in front of vets. How I loved it and I am now starting to talk to vet students as result of the show. I will be giving my first talk to Nottingham Vet School vet students in January, followed by Glasgow vet students in March – hoorah – all those young minds of our future that can learn about the best way to feed our pets to give us a future!!
Dr Arielle Griffiths talks at the London Vet Show in November 2022 about how to feed our dogs correctly and sustainably……and her reception from vets is one of warmth and genuine interest!
