Marx transitioned from raw to plant-based to extend his lifespan

Yet another story to inspire and educate us all! Marx is a gorgeous ‘elderly boy’ (although we never want to view any of our pets as ‘elderly’), but for loving playful Boxer/Labrador, at the age of 8, his Mum is very aware that Boxers do not live as long as other breeds.

She describes Marx as her ‘best friend’ and after intense research, she transitioned him from raw to plant-based as her research pointed to a balanced plant-based diet being the main diet that supports longevity in our pets by reducing the incidence of disease. He seems to have a much stronger immunity compared to other dogs which can all be down to his high fibre and nutrient rich food.

He also suffered from a dry flaky skin on a good quality meat-based food as well as on the raw food. His skin issue cleared up straight away on a plant-based diet and left him soft and silky with no dry skin.

His Mum also realised that he has a wheat allergy (one of the top allergens seen in dogs after beef and dairy being the top allergens). Luckily the foods that we recommend are wheat and soya free and when sent to Marx, he ‘suddenly started drooling’ as he loves the Greta and Solo Vegetal so much!

He loves his homemade food just as much too, and he has it in a Kong which his Mum realises that there will be no bacteria carried around her house as he would have had with raw food as he takes his Kong onto his bed and also onto the sofa. His favourite is the Terrific Tofu and Turmeric Recipe as it fits so well in the Kong.
