I have so much praise for Sir Lewis Hamilton. He is a vocal advocate speaking out against animal cruelty, he loves all animals, he is vegan himself and he is like all of us….totally devoted to his rescue Bulldog Roscoe. The photo shown of him with his eyes closed while hugging Roscoe says it all.

These details are taken from an interview he gave for Essentially Sports.

Lewis Hamilton loves spending his time around wildlife as he’s been pictured with multiple wild animals. However, one animal he’s often pictured with is his pal, Roscoe. We frequently see Roscoe walking beside Hamilton, especially on his Thursday paddock walks.

Roscoe, the bulldog, is now nine years old and lives a life of privilege, as one of Hamilton’s favourite living beings. Roscoe, just like Hamilton, is vegan and follows a specific diet, according to Hamilton.

Disclosing Roscoe’s diet, Hamilton said, “He is vegan. He eats quinoa and vegetables everyday day and it’s literally changed his life. He’s like a puppy again at nine years old.”

This is where we see such positivity in his words. He is not endorsing any products at all to his millions of fans who will usually buy or wear whatever they see their favourite celebrity wearing or using…..no this time it is different!

He is advocating for health and goodness with using pure, natural ingredients such as fresh vegetables and protein rich quinoa (the perfect protein to choose in dogs as it contains all the essential amino acids). It forms the basis of most of our homemade recipes because it is so nutrient rich. He is selling and promoting nothing with this, but health and the kindest way to eat.

Paul Wesley is another celebrity (I do not watch The Vampire Diaries or Star Trek so personally I haven’t watched him), but I really support all he says and stands for too! In an interview with Plant Based News, he says how  his “heart broke” after learning about how conventional meat-based dog food is made. He goes on to say that he first discovered the truth after seeing a statistic stating that one in two dogs over 10 will die of cancer.

“I love my dog, he’s like my son,” he said. We can all relate to that, and to have big celebrities speaking out and turning their dogs vegan, is worth us all supporting and celebrating as they have such influence over the next generation (possibly a lot more influence than political leaders 🙂
