Rufus is a lucky dog -a rescue from Romania who has been fed a vegan diet since he was adopted…and his Mum didn’t even realise what a perfect diet it was for him! Here is her story…..
“Rufus has thrived on Solo Vegetal since the early days of his rescue from Romania two years ago. I started him on the food as when we adopted him, I wanted the best food for him (as I am vegan), and Solo Vegetal seemed to be the only food that controlled his constant chewing and licking of his feet.
His coat is beautifully soft and thick with the food, and it also helps keep his reflux under control.
His foot chewing only returned after feeding him some Butternut Box meat which my daughter was going to throw away as her pup has to have a hypoallergenic food now. I couldnโt bear the thought of an animal being killed and then itโs life just thrown in the bin ๐ so I reluctantly gave it to Rufus.
Within a short time, he started constantly licking and chewing at his feet and I could not work out what was wrong. Then the lightbulb went on…. it must be the meat! Since coming off it, he is back to his usual self.
He is a very happy boy once again on a food that he loves – we couldn’t be happier!”
